Flower Festival Sketch of Alyth Parish Church

'How wonderful it is,how pleasant, for God's people to live together in harmony' by the Royal British Legion's Alyth Branch (image by T. Thomson)

The first weekend in September saw the community of Alyth linking with the local churches to present a FlowerFest
in Alyth Parish Church.

The eye-catching banner handpainted by Wendy MacFarlane.

Eight organisations from within the church, together with St. Luan’s and St. Ninian’s, linked with local groups to create 30 displays, most with flowers, some without, on the theme
“WORDS OF WISDOM”.
All ages were represented from the Over 50’s Club to the Toddlers & Playgroup, from the 125 year old Literary Society to the Alyth Voice, from the British Legion to the Alyth Youth Partnership of 100+ members. While the Gala Committee, the Country Dance Club and the Choral Union rubbed shoulders with Kilry WRI, the Alzheimers Carer’s Group, the Musical Society and Alyth~in~Bloom.
